Genesis
Storielle was conceived on a cold rainy night around the Christmas holydays of 2021
Rather than being the idea that would distrupt the industry, I saw it as the concrete opportunity that would led to me finally release a product.
The idea per se came from a real painpoint: I just wanted to share a funny YouTube video to the platform where the cool kids were: Instagram Stories, and I found my self looking (for an non trascurable amounts of minutes) for the damn button. Then I realized that in the vast pletore of possibility that my iPhone give me to share a video, there isn’t one for the Instagram stories.
So I thought that this was something I can propose a solution for
Having been obsessed since my highschool years with the idea of founding a startup to work on a product, I already had consumed tons of resources about the topic and gained tons of insights.
- I would have proposed a precise solution that solved a specific problem
- I had a clear idea of what competitors tha solved a similar problem were doing
- I had in mind a precise list of features for the solution
- I had a mac so no problem working on a native app
- I thought there was market: other than regular people willing to share funny videos and music, I thought that YouTubers could have been happy to have a tool that let them easily promote their new videos
So everything checked, this was my opportunity! Let’s start!
